Regulatory Food Safety Auditing
Goulburn Valley Food Safety Services has been providing auditing services to the food industry since 1998.
Ben Carroll is a certified with Exemplar Global under the National Food Safety Auditor Scheme (NFSA); and holds the NFSA Level – 4; for conducting high risk food safety audits within:
- Victoria – Department of Health & Human Services
- Tasmania – Department of Health and Human Services

HACCP Certification Audits
Goulburn Valley Food Safety Services undertake certification audits for business against any number of the Codex Alimentarius Standards or Codes of practice.
All HACCP Certification audits include as a minimum the:
- Recommended International Code of Practice
- General Principles of Food Hygiene
- CAC/RCP 1-1969, Rev. 4-2003
Additional Standards and Codes of Practice may apply to your business either through industry standard or supplier requirements.

Approved Supplier Audits
Goulburn Valley Food Safety Services can also undertake Supplier Audits on behalf of your business.
Our role is to assess your suppliers’ compliance with relevant Standards, Codes of practice and Specification requirements as described.
Approved Supplier Audits are becoming and ever-increasing and effective tool in assuring business compliance.
The scope of the audit can be as broad or as focused as required and may include:
- Product Traceability / Recall procedures
- Quality testing
- GMPs

Internal Food Safety Audits
IN addition to Regulatory and Certification audits, Goulburn Valley Food Safety Services also provide comprehensive Internal Auditing Services for your business.
Internal Audits may be for the one site or as part of a continual improvement program for the wider business.
This may include site visits across the entire business assessing compliance with any given criteria and may be specific to your proprietary operations.
