This Nationally Accredited training covers the skills and knowledge required for participants who wish to conduct internal food safety audits within their own workplace.

These units of competency describe the skills and knowledge required in planning and conducting an internal audit;

This training supports the implementation of National Food Safety Audit Policy.

The prerequisite training units required to attend this training session include at least the following basic skills:
FBPFSY3002 – Participate in a HACCP team (or equivalent)

It is expected that participants have at least two years of experience in the food industry with preference to QA and or food safety.

On the successful completion of this training and assessment; trainees will be issued a Statement of Attainment with the following units of competency:
FBPAUD4001: Assess Compliance with Food Safety Programs
FBPPPL4007: Manage Internal Audits

Course Description

This comprehensive 2 day course is designed to provide participants with the skills and knowledge to be able to plan and conduct an internal food safety audit.

Auditing skills covered in this course will enable the participant to conduct audits within their own organisations.

Employment Opportunities

Completion of these units of competency will provide the participant with the key elements to gain employment or meet the employment requirements for working as a Food Safety Supervisor or Internal Auditor in food safety within the food industry.
